Follow "Always the Safe Ride" program. Riders should download the route or carry a route slip or program the route into their computer.
Registration cancellations will be accepted until Friday, March 20, 2026 at 9:00 PM

   WELCOME TO THE RYF TRAVEL CLUB  
 
Members are asked to register for this event in order for RYF to know who is planning to join us for the ride.

Riders will all be required to download the route or carry a route slip or program the route into their computer devise
since this is an unfamiliar location.


We encourage members to form car pools from Redlands to Laguna Hills.
Please let the webmaster know if you have room available for a passenger and bike,
or if you need a ride.  We will plan to have car pools meet at IYBI Clinic at 7:30 am.
Metrolink train service may also be available. The nearest station is at

The suggested route from the Metrolink station to Laguna Hills Community Center is:
Capistrano Metrolink Transit Route

This ride will tour various locations of Southern Orange County, and includes portions of the Aliso Creek Bikeway
through El Toro Park to Rancho Santa Margarita and Ladera Rancho to San Juan Capistrano past the Mission.
The route rolls along San Juan Creek to Dana Point past the harbor, then travels along PCH to Laguna Beach.
We then roll up Laguna Canyon Road through Laguna Woods and return to the Community Center.
There are a variety of places for lunch in the shopping malls across the the Community Center.

Category C - Touring Pace

Average speed 12 to 14 mph, with cruising speeds on flats between 16 to 22 mph.  Ride length is typically 35 to 45 miles. 
This is often a touring and/or scenic ride, with some stops to regroup at the discretion of the Route Leader.

Using the SR 241 and SR 261 Toll Roads:

Take the 91 freeway through Corona. Exit onto the 241 toll road and proceed approximately 12.0 miles to the 133 toll road, take the 133 approximately 3.0 miles to the I-5 freeway, take the I-5 approximately 5.0 miles to El Toro Road, Exit 91,  continue straight to Paseo De Valencia, 2.2 mile and turn right on Alica Parkway, the turn right in the first driveway into the Laguna Hills Community Center and left into the parking lot by the soccer fields.
(Approx. 60 miles, toll road account required)

 

Alternate Route avoiding the toll roads:

Take the 91 freeway through Corona to the 55 freeway.  Proceed south on the 55 freeway to the I-5 freeway.  Take the I-5 freeway south and exit on El Toro Road, Exit 91, continue straight to Paseo De Valencia, 2.2 mile and turn right on Alica Parkway, the turn right in the first driveway into the Laguna Hills Community Center and left into the parking lot by the soccer fields. (Approx 66 miles)
